Once in a lifetime you meet someone who changes everything…

Kenzie and Jay’s love story is like one that you read in a Nicolas Spark novel. The two met three years ago while they were pursing their degrees at Sam Houston University. It is no surprise that they met in chemistry class, because anyone around these two cannot deny their chemistry for one another.

Last month Jay proposed to Kenzie in the most romantic way. Kenzie thought that she was just celebrating a “Friendsmas” at the University where her and Jay first met. Kenzie and her friends went over to the tree that was decorated for Christmas just as it started to rain. They ran to a covered area and to Kenzie’s surprise, Jay came around the corner and kneeled down on one knee. Kenzie was in complete shock, she did not even know that Jay was in the same state as her.  Her friend recorded everything so she will be able to relive that day over and over again.

When the two of them met me this past weekend in downtown Charleston, it was clear how much these two love one another. Jay would sneak in kisses on Kenzie’s forehead and Kenzie admired Jay as if I was not even there. It was a freezing morning, but they did not let that get in the way of having fun together in Charleston.

Kenzie and Jay are truly amazing, they both have chosen careers to help people, Kenzie being nurse and Jay serving in the Navy. It was such an honor to meet them and be a part of telling their love story through these beautiful images. I cannot wait to hear all about their wedding in April!
