Ali and Juan are engaged and getting married next April at the Thomas Bennett House in Charleston. Since the first time I connected with Ali last summer to chat about her wedding, I immediately felt like I was chatting with an old friend. So needless to say, I was so excited about her visit to Charleston to take her engagement photos.

Our plans were thrown through a loop when our city forced to shut down due to COVID-19. We improvised, so they had an image for their save the dates, did a quick session at her parents’ house while social distancing, and seriously the session was so dreamy!

Then last night, after things started opening up, we had the pleasure of meeting up in Downtown Charleston’s historic district for a more formal engagement session. Ali and Juan are indeed naturals in front of the camera; I mean, they seriously could not take a bad photo if they tried. We met up at Rainbow Row, and the weather and sunset could not have been more perfect! We walked around, capturing sweet moments in front of the cutest colorful homes, and I even made them dance in the street a few times. It was such a fun evening and filled with tons of laughter!
