Andrew and Kelsey’s love story started when they were attending Purdue University when Kelsey moved in as one of Andrew’s new roommates. The two were immediately drawn to one another, and eventually, their romance blossomed, leaving the two inseparable ever since. Then in April of 2017, Andrew proposed to Kelsey while they were doing an escape room, which was the perfect way to catch Kelsey off guard for the ultimate surprise.
Andrew and Kelsey decided that they wanted to have a destination wedding in Charleston, and they ended up choosing the most perfect venue to celebrate with their closest friends and family. We started the day by having fun taking a few photos of the girls getting ready and hanging out. Kelsey did not miss a single detail and even had her bridesmaids robes custom made with everyone’s names on the back.
Before the first look, and I had a chance to speak with Andrew, I found it so sweet how nervous he was so excited that he would be seeing his bride be in a few minutes, knowing it would ease all of his nerves. The first look was such a cute moment, and we all were laughing when the wind picked up just in time to blow Kelsey’s veil, hitting both of them, but they were just so excited and happy to see each other. We snuck off after to do some bride and groom portraits before the rain, and it was my favorite part of the day we all laughed the entire time.
The ceremony was perfect, and I loved how excited everyone of their guests was to watch the two tie the knot. After the service, everyone was already ready to start dancing the night away, who says you cannot begin to dance during the cocktail hour?
The rest of the night, Kelsey and Andrew did not leave each other’s side, and all their guests filled the dance floor, barely breaking. The night was truly amazing, and I am thrilled to share a few of my favorite photos from their day!
