A wedding at Creek Club at I’on always feels timeless, and Kimaya and Abraham’s day captured that feeling so effortlessly. From the sweeping oak trees draped in Spanish moss to the warm glow of golden hour settling over the water, their day felt intentional, meaningful, and full of joy. Photographing their wedding was such an honor, and it was one of those days that remind me why this venue is so special for couples planning an elegant Lowcountry celebration.

Before their ceremony, Kimaya and Abraham chose to share a quiet first touch outside the I’on Chapel. Standing back-to-back, holding hands, they were able to speak to one another and soak in the day’s emotions without seeing each other just yet. It was such a kind way to connect before walking down the aisle, preserving that anticipation for their ceremony moment. Their voices were calm, full of excitement, and grounded in the significance of what was about to happen.
For their wedding at Creek Club at I’on, Kimaya and Abraham exchanged vows beneath the oak trees, with Spanish moss gently framing the ceremony space. As the sun continued to set, it cast a golden glow behind the ceremony site, creating a naturally romantic atmosphere. Kimaya and Abraham stood beneath the trees, with a single floral urn on each side, allowing the design’s simplicity to highlight the setting.
As Kimaya made her way down the aisle, Abraham’s face lit up with the biggest smile. It was such a genuine, heartfelt reaction and one of my favorite moments of the entire day. Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows and shared communion together, honoring their faith and the foundation of their relationship. They sealed the ceremony with a joyful kiss and concluded with a broom jump, a meaningful tradition symbolizing the start of their life together.

Kimaya and Abraham chose not to have a traditional wedding party, which allowed for a relaxed and intentional flow after the ceremony. We began with family and friend photos before moving into the bride and groom portraits. Most of their portraits took place near the ceremony site, where the light was absolutely perfect. The way the sun filtered through the trees created a soft, glowing backdrop that made every image feel romantic and timeless.
Kimaya and Abraham are a joy to be around, with an easy connection and warmth that comes through in every moment they share. Their laughter came easily, their bond felt effortless, and photographing them was truly a dream. We later made our way down to the dock for a few waterfront portraits, adding even more variety to their gallery and capturing the peaceful beauty that makes a wedding at Creek Club at I’on so unique.

The reception space was decorated so thoughtfully, blending elegance with warmth. Each place setting featured a green-and-white floral charger, surrounded by candles, small lamps, and floral centerpieces, creating a cozy ambiance. At the head table, natural wood bentwood chairs stood out as a beautiful design choice, adding texture and character to the space.
Guests enjoyed cocktail hour outside before being invited into the reception, taking advantage of the gorgeous surroundings and evening breeze. Once everyone was seated, Kimaya and Abraham were introduced and went straight into their first dance. It was such a sweet, unhurried moment that set the tone for the evening.
They continued with individual dances, sharing meaningful moments with family members who have supported them throughout their lives. A true highlight of the evening was their champagne tower. Watching them pour champagne together was such a fun, celebratory experience, and the photos from that moment truly captured the vibe. Shortly after, they cut their wedding cake and enjoyed toasts from loved ones.
As the evening continued, the dance floor quickly filled with friends and family celebrating Kimaya and Abraham. The joy in the room was contagious, and it was clear how deeply these two are loved. Their wedding at Creek Club at I’on was the perfect blend of elegance, tradition, and genuine connection.
