2022 has come and gone and was filled with so many unforgettable moments! Looking back on the people I photographed truly makes me feel so blessed with my job as a Charleston wedding photographer. I photographed 30+ weddings and many amazing engagement sessions, so I’m breaking them down into three different blog posts. To start, let’s dive into the best of 2022 weddings!
These two had some of my favorite wedding invitations of 2022! Included in the invitation was an elegantly done watercolor painting of their wedding venue. I also loved how they included a crest with their first initials and last name.
Before Jessica stepped into her dress, we went outside, and she and her bridesmaids popped confetti cannons while wearing the cutest matching pajamas. It was so much fun and put everyone in a cheery mood!
I traveled to Pennsylvania for Julianna and Bruce’s wedding, making them the furthest wedding I traveled to this year! It’s always enjoyable to explore different areas other than Charleston.
One of the sweetest days for the most adorable couples! Brandon had a first look with his mother; it was my first time photographing a first look between a mother and son. I was captivated and related to it since I’m a boy mom! Everything about their wedding day was stunning, from the ceremony to the reception.
These two had a brunch wedding, and I loved the concept of them choosing to have an earlier wedding than usual! Cami, who has a heart of gold, allowed herself thoroughly enjoy her wedding day, which is hard for some brides to do. One of the bonuses to photographing their wedding was seeing one of my previous couples, Emily and Luke!
Oh my goodness, where do I even start with Nikki’s bridesmaid dresses?! She took her time choosing each of her bridesmaid’s dresses, which were the prettiest mismatched dresses. They went along perfectly with her romantic garden-themed wedding. There’s no denying that mismatched bridesmaid dresses are here to stay. I also loved her bridal bouquet with all-white orchids.
Christian and Austin were my biggest troopers of 2022! The couple stayed calm even when Hurricane Ian hit their wedding venue, and it didn’t dampen their celebration at all.
For these two, I was able to photograph their Vietnamese tea ceremony before the wedding day, and it was so awesome to be part of it! They rented a vintage car on their wedding day, and we had fun using it for their portraits.
I enjoyed witnessing Ashley and Daniel’s Korean Ceremony, learning more about the culture, and seeing all the unique touches they had for their wedding day. Not to mention that they had one of the best send-offs, with a fireworks show!
These two had the best fall wedding esthetic without it being too much. From the colors of the bridesmaid’s dresses to the gorgeous florals, I loved all of it!
Hill & Co created the prettiest tablescape for a dinner party overlooking the water. All of the details were so colorful and uniquely planned out!
As you can see, I had such a great year as a Charleston wedding photographer, and I am so excited to photograph more beautiful weddings! Only a few spots are left for 2023 weddings, and my books are open for 2024, so if you’re looking for a Charleston Wedding Photographer, let’s chat!
You can see more of these wedding galleries on my blog here.
I also had the pleasure of capturing more of my couple’s milestones! It’s always a great time catching up with some of my past couples and continuing to celebrate with them.
