What an unforgettable year 2024 has been! This season, I photographed 17 beautiful weddings, each filled with love, laughter, and unique touches. From iconic Charleston wedding locations, like Lowndes Grove, to even private estates, every wedding was a joy to capture, and I’m so excited to share some highlights from all of the weddings in Charleston I was able to photograph this year!
Kaitlyn and Colin’s wedding at the William Aiken House was nothing short of magical. The sun was shining as they celebrated their love with a heartfelt ceremony, followed by a fun bubble exit that had everyone smiling. Their stunning invitation suite set the tone for the day, and we even stopped by The American Theater, where their last name lit up the city. They ended the night with a private last dance before a sparkler exit—a perfect way to close a perfect day!
Courtney and Joey’s wedding was a springtime dream at Magnolia Plantation’s Carriage House. Blooming flowers, a gorgeous tented reception, and nonstop dancing with their friends and family made the day unforgettable. Their bubble exit led them to a vintage car that perfectly complemented the romantic, timeless feel of their wedding.
Sarah and Matt embraced Charleston’s coastal charm for their wedding at the Historic Rice Mill. Their sweet first look before the ceremony set the tone for an emotional day, and the spring palette of their flowers and bridesmaid dresses added the perfect touch. These sunset portraits on the waterfront with boats gently swaying in the background were some of my favorites this year.
Clara and Charlie are the kind of couple that makes you believe in soulmates. Their love for each other was evident in every smile and glance. Stunning, colorful florals, Clara’s fun reception dress change, and a dazzling sparkler exit made their day unforgettable. Club Creek at Ion provided the perfect setting for this vibrant and love-filled celebration.
Julia and Adam’s wedding started with a quiet, intimate ceremony at the Rose Pavilion in Hampton Park, surrounded by close friends and family. The pops of green in their details brought everything together beautifully. Their reception at Emeline was an elegant and joyful celebration, and watching the way Adam smiled at Julia all day reminded me why I love capturing these moments.
Callie and Daniel hosted their wedding at their parents’ stunning private estate, reminding me of Lowndes Grove with its picturesque water views. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, from the tented reception to the dockside portraits. Love, laughter, and an incredible party under the stars filled the day.
Cheyenne and Greg’s intimate ceremony under the Hampton Park gazebo was simple, sweet, and so full of love. They exchanged vows in a serene setting with just their closest family present. Afterward, we explored the park for portraits among the vibrant blooms—a truly magical elopement.
Katie and Baxter brought all the fun to their beachside wedding at the Citadel Beach Club. Their first look was filled with joy, and the soft hues of the sunset during their portraits added an extra layer of romance. With pops of color in the bouquets and a live band energizing the dance floor, this day was nothing short of spectacular.
This wedding will always hold a special place in my heart. Kali and Bjorn’s day at the Gadsden House was beautiful and a reunion of sorts—I had the honor of photographing Kali’s sister’s wedding as well. Seeing their family again felt like catching up with old friends. From collaborating with Pepper Events to my husband filming the day, it was a team effort I’ll always treasure.
Hanna and Eric embraced the coastal vibes at Wild Dunes Resort, with blue and white tones creating a clean and elegant aesthetic. Their rooftop portraits, framed by the ocean, were some of the most breathtaking photos.
Lily and Lucas’s wedding at Lowndes Grove was nothing short of iconic. Their sweet first touch and personal vow exchange brought happy tears, and the portraits at this timeless venue are always a dream. They ended the night with a sparkler exit into a vintage car—talk about a perfect ending!
Taylor and Sam’s wedding at Magnolia Plantation’s Carriage House was pure romance. Their first look on the iconic bridge, private vows, and a joyful flower petal toss after the ceremony were just a few of the highlights. The champagne tower at their reception added a touch of glam to their light-yellow wedding palette.
Deanna and Daniel’s laid-back wedding at a Folly Beach house was all about family, friends, and their adorable dog! Their first look near the beach was heartwarming, and their celebration’s intimate vibe perfectly matched the venue’s relaxed charm.
Celeste and Truett’s November wedding at DeBordieu embraced warm fall tones and featured a beautiful watercolor invitation suite. Their first look under the Spanish moss-draped oaks was breathtaking, and the romantic decor added a cozy touch to their celebration.
From the heartfelt advice from Lilly’s dad to the adorable floral collar on their dog, this Boone Hall wedding was full of memorable moments. Green was the standout color throughout the day, creating a classic yet fresh feel. Their sparkler exit was the perfect ending to a day filled with love and laughter.
Brittany and Kevin’s day at Daniel Island Club was timeless and heartfelt. Brittany’s dedication of her bouquet to her mom added a touching personal element, and the marsh views made for a stunning ceremony backdrop. Their private vow reading was such a meaningful way to start their day.
Ending the year with Julia and Christian’s relaxed, intimate wedding at Cannon Green was a dream. Julia’s bridal jumpsuit was a showstopper, and the joyful, energetic reception made for a perfect finale to my 2024 season.
Reflecting on all the incredible weddings in Charleston I had the honor to capture in 2024 fills me with so much gratitude. Each couple, each love story, and each unique celebration reminded me why I adore being a Charleston wedding photographer. From intimate elopements to grand receptions, every wedding was a joy to be a part of, and I’m endlessly thankful to my couples for trusting me with their special day.
