The Gadsden House is a unique haven that transports you away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Charleston. I can’t wait for you to read all about how fascinating a Gadsden House wedding can be!

Whether you envision an outdoor ceremony amidst the courtyard gardens or an indoor exchange of vows in the elegant parlor rooms, The Gadsden House accommodates your preferences, and both ceremony options are beautiful. Scheduled on-site rehearsal ensures that your ceremony unfolds flawlessly.
The Gadsden House venue rental gives you access to the property, including getting-ready suites starting at 9:30 am. A third-party vendor must provide tables, chairs, linens, glassware, tenting, and china, as The Gadsden House does not supply them.
The number of guests will vary depending on what spaces you want to utilize for your wedding day. Outdoor ceremonies can accommodate 180 guests, compared to indoor ceremonies, which can hold only 80 people. If you desire a larger reception, you can use both indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing up to 250 guests.

While the courtyard gardens are accessible, a chair lift facilitates movement from the gardens to the first floor. However, the second and third floors are not handicap accessible.
Schedule in-person visits or opt for a virtual tour by calling 843-737-4281 to book your appointment. I suggest taking a tour to get a feeling for what the venue is like.
