Parkin and Brittany had the most beautiful Historic Rice Mill Wedding on a gorgeous fall day, with their friends and family nearby!
After Brittany moved to Charleston, she met Parkin through a dating app months later. They decided to go on their first date to a restaurant in Charleston, and their connection was easy. After years of dating, they took a trip to Myrtle Beach over Labor Day weekend to visit her mom. Having some free time, they decided to check out Brookgreen Gardens. On their private tour, Parkin proposed! When they returned to her mom’s house, their families and some friends surprised them!
Gold, black, and white was the color palette of Parkin and Brittany’s choosing. Using neutral colors gives such a classy feel to your wedding. The day began with photographing some of the most beautiful details, from their invitation suite to their shoes. After getting Brittany in her dress and heading towards the church, she wanted to share a first look with her dad and brother. As soon as they turned around, they both had huge smiles.
Their ceremony took place at St. Luke’s Chapel. This was the perfect location for them to say their vows to one another, surrounded by their loved ones.
We took wedding photos all around Downtown Charleston since their ceremony and reception were in the same location! Parkin and Brittany’s wedding photos were magical looking with the cobblestone streets and adventuring to Battery Park.
The Historic Rice Mill is an iconic wedding venue in Downtown Charleston. This venue is centrally located and off the water, with a view of the bridge. This location features indoor and outdoor spaces offering beautiful sunset views and space for up to 300 people.
We experienced an absolutely stunning Lowcountry sunset! We took a few minutes from their reception to grab a few sunset photos on the dock. It was totally worth it, and they were so much fun! Sunset photos are always a great idea!
All throughout the evening, friends and family were joyously celebrating the newlyweds! From hearing toasts, watching Parkin and Brittany share their first dance, and dancing the night away, it was so fun!
