Jennifer and Steig’s Legare Waring House wedding in spring was so much fun to capture. It was an amazing day, from the heartwarming moments to the charming details!
Steig and Jennifer’s love story began with a swipe right on a dating app. After messaging back and forth, they soon found themselves texting each other. Jennifer was visiting her parents’ house while her brother and sister-in-law were also in town. Fate had a hand in this connection, as it turned out that Jennifer’s parents lived only three houses down from Steig. Her family was having a bonfire, and once they realized how close they were, Steig walked through the backyards to meet Jennifer and her family. Late-night conversations ensued, and the rest is history!
Though they resided in Ohio, their hearts belonged to the Carolinas, particularly Charleston. Their first trip as a couple to Charleston was when Steig told Jennifer that he loved her. A few years later, they vacationed to see family and friends. One of their stops was the Biltmore, and while enjoying the Christmas decorations, Steig popped the question. It was a magical moment, with Jennifer’s dad secretly capturing a video of it all!
I had the honor of handling photography and videography for their wedding day, a choice that simplified the process and ensured we captured every precious moment. The day started with Jennifer and her bridesmaids wearing matching pajamas and sipping champagne, which set the perfect tone for the day. Jennifer received a sweet note from Steig, and their excitement surged as they exchanged letters.
Jennifer’s first look with her father was one of the most heartwarming moments. With Jennifer’s mother watching from the doorway, her father was undoubtedly filled with pride as he prepared for Jennifer’s big day.
Their intimate ceremony at Legare Waring House was set amid the beauty of the live oak trees draped in Spanish moss, creating the quintessential southern wedding backdrop. At the heart of their ceremony stood a magnificent floral arch.
The Legare Waring House offers a stunning array of photo opportunities, from the majestic live oak trees to the serene pond and the striking iron front gates. Steig and his groomsmen in sharp black tuxedos, completed by Jennifer’s bridesmaids in elegant dusty pink dresses, perfectly suited for their spring wedding.
As the day turned into the evening, the reception unfolded beneath a tent adorned with light blue and white patterned table linens, completed with gold chiavari chairs. The live band brought the night to life with music and energy, ensuring everyone had a memorable time.
Congratulations to the newlyweds! May your journey be filled with continuous joy, love, and many more adventures.
