Megan and Zack are a modern day romance, having had met on Bumble in late September of 2018. Although technology brought the two together, Zack managed to sweep Megan off her feet by showing her that he was a gentleman.
When you ask Zack, he will tell you the moment that he locked eyes with Megan when she walked into Cap City Diner in Dublin, that it was love at first sight. Since that night, October 2, 2018, Megan and Zack have not gone a day without hearing each other’s voices.
It was not too long after they met in October 2018 that Zack asked Megan to marry him on Valentine’s Day 2020. Megan was entirely in the dark and did not expect it whatsoever. Zack made reservations at Cap City Diner, where they had their first date, and arranged that they would be seated in the same booth that they sat when they first met. Megan thought it was ironic but did not yet figure out that he would propose until their favorite song came on, “You Are the Best Thing.” Zack got down on one knee and asked Megan to marry him, and of course, she said, “yes!” Zack did not miss a detail and ensured that her whole family was there to help the two celebrate their new engagement.
If you think their story is just as adorable as it comes, I wish you could only be in their presence because these two are the real deal! Seriously, a love like theirs does not come around every day.
Zack and Megan had a destination wedding in Hilton Head at the Omni on November 7, 2020.
Their wedding day was nothing short of perfect; even with the hiccups that happened, they just rolled with it and did not let it ruin their day. Although their ceremony rained out and moved to under the Pavillion, and the rain let up for long enough to allow us to capture the sweetest portraits on the beach.
As we were walking back to the reception, Zack and Megan paused at the end of the beach entrance and said to me, “we are going to stay back for a minute and just soak at this moment.” Of course, I told them to take their time and walked off with the biggest smile because I love to love, and it was so sweet. Then I turned stalker and made sure to capture a few photos from the bushes of them, soaking it all in that they are now officially husband and wife.
After the two had their sweet private moment on the beach, they entered their reception. The reception started with the first dance dances, where Megan and Zack, well, you probably guessed it, “You are the best thing.” Followed by Megan and her Dad dancing to “My Wish,” ending it with the biggest hug and was almost as heartwarming as the first look they shared earlier in the day. You will get this once you check out some of my favorite photos from their day because Megan and her Dad shared the sweetest Dad and Daughter’s first look that I have ever photographed. After Megan and her Dad danced, Zack danced with his dear Mom to “The Man you Have Become,” and of course, I cried. It was so precious.
When it came time for the toasts, there was no guest without a massive smile on their face. Megan’s Dad had everyone cracking up as he told a few stories about Megan. Zack’s brother shared a toast too, which had everyone cracking up as well. Still, Megan’s sister was unable to make it to the wedding because of COVID that had everyone in tears from laughing and having the world’s sweetest surprise toast. Megan’s brother helped make the cutest video, and Megan and Zack laughed and cried as they listed to her prerecorded toast. It was indeed one of my most favorite parts of the evening.
After dinner, dances, and toasts, they all hit the dance floor, and they never left it for the rest of the night. I loved watching everyone out on the dance floor, laughing and having the best time ever. Zack’s parents, let me tell you, have some killer dance moves, and it was so much fun to watch everyone, but it was Zack and his friends that had me laughing so much. Just thinking back to their wedding makes me so happy, so without further ado, I cannot wait to share with you a few of my favorite images from their day!
