Matt contacted Jeanette Isabella Events because he wanted help planning a surprise proposal for Sam, his now fiance. Jeanette reached out to me, and together we arranged the perfect proposal for them. As a proposal photographer Charleston SC, there are so many great locations to choose from to pop the question, but with Sam and Matt’s personalities, we knew the beach would be great!
Matt and Sam work within the hospitality industry, so naturally, it made perfect sense for them to get engaged in Charleston, where hospitality is undeniable. Matt told us they both love going to the beach, so we decided on Folly Beach at the Morris Island Lighthouse! A relaxing walk through nature leads you to this beautiful beach with a fantastic view of the lighthouse and incredible driftwood formations.
As they headed towards the beach for a romantic stroll, Matt knelt down and asked Sam to marry him. Her reaction was precious and genuine. Looking at the photos, you can tell she is so surprised yet excited! Sam’s personality is the best, and she is truly a gem. At one point, she grabbed the bottle of champagne and took a big drink from it, and I just loved how she embraced the moment fully on one of the best days of her life!

- Take an engagement cruise with High Tide Harbor Tours, where they will help you customize the perfect setting for what the two of you want.
- Go for a picnic at one of Charleston’s many parks. Make a charcuterie board and pair it with your favorite beverage.
- Soak up the sun and have a fun day at the beach, whether you partake in beach activities or are more into water sports.
- Make a reservation at Magnolia’s or 167 Raw. Both restaurants will give you fine dining service, and the food is phenomenal.
- Take a horse-drawn carriage around the city. There are a few companies you can go through, so check out Palmetto Carriage Works and Old South Carriage Co.
