Heather and Jesse had such an enchanting wedding at HollyOaks on the Marsh! From them being the sweet couple ever to working alongside their incredible wedding vendor team, this day was amazing. I’m so excited to be sharing more from their special day!

This adorable couple’s love story started with a work connection. Jesse was hired by the construction company building the hotel Heather’s company will manage. After many calls back and forth with each other over several months, they finally met in person at the work site. Their business calls eventually became more personal, and the rest is history! They took a trip to Savannah and stayed at the Mansion on Forsyth. Jesse had planned an outing for them, and Heather quickly became suspicious. This was the trip where he popped the question! They love the city of Savannah, so naturally, it’s where they also wanted to have their wedding.

I always believe in going the extra mile for my couples, which sometimes means overcoming challenges. Leading up to Heather and Jesse’s big day, I experienced an injury that could have impacted my photography process. I wasn’t about to let anything dampen the joy of their wedding or slow the timeline down. I proactively decided to hire a talented third person to assist me on the wedding day. This decision proved to be a game-changer, allowing us to photograph their day from multiple angles, including aerial photos. Trust is essential in wedding photography, and I’m grateful that Heather and Jesse trusted me to make the best decision for their cherished memories.

An Outdoor Spring Wedding in Savannah

On their wedding day at HollyOaks on the Marsh, the air was filled with excitement and anticipation. The venue on the outskirts of Savannah, Georgia, is a picturesque paradise. It offers various locations for different parts of the wedding celebration. Their ceremony occurred at the Unity Tree at the front of the house, surrounded by breathtaking views and nature’s beauty. After saying their heartfelt vows, their guests proceeded to the pergola and English gardens for cocktail hour.

One of the most touching moments of the day was Jesse’s emotional reaction during their first look. He was so overwhelmed with love and happiness that he even had trouble turning around. It was a beautiful testament to the deep connection these two share. Seeing a couple’s reaction to the first time seeing each other on their wedding day is always so touching. Heather’s radiant and carefree attitude throughout the day allowed us to work our magic. She and Jesse were both so present the whole day and the photographs turned out absolutely stunning, and you can feel their love through the photos.

As the sun began to set, the reception took place in a charming tent behind the house. An evening filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and dancing created memories that will last a lifetime. Everyone enjoyed a late-night bite from Chick-fil-a that was a huge hit!
