Natalie and Brad had a romantic Wild Dunes Resort Wedding on a Fall day in Isle of Palms.
As interns at the same company, their paths crossed, and after accepting full-time jobs there, they just happened to live across the hall from each other. After dating for a few years, they spent time at the beach in Wilmington when Brad asked Natalie to take a walk on the beach. While they were walking, he stopped to ask her to marry him. After returning to the city, both of their families were there to celebrate!
After Natalie stepped into her dress, her bridesmaids turned around for a big reveal. The girls cheered excitedly because she looked like she had stepped out of a retro Hollywood movie! Afterward, Natalie wanted to share a first look with her dad, my favorite first look ever. Before her father even turned around, he started getting emotional. Several family members and bridesmaids watched this moment from a balcony at a distance, and it was delightful.
Brad and Natalie chose their ceremony space on the Rooftop of Wild Dunes. This space features coastal scenes of the beautiful Lowcountry, and you can hear the waves faintly crashing in the distance. It’s such a peaceful setting to marry your best friend. In addition to getting married, this couple was most excited about turning toward all their guests once they were officially married. Seeing all of their loved ones was important to them.
Throughout their wedding day, a soft color palette of blues was used throughout the decor, and everything looked amazing. I was utterly obsessed with the breathtaking florals from Pretty Petals of Charleston. They created beautiful florals for Natalie’s bouquet and the floral statement pieces at the ceremony.
The Indigo Room at Wild Dunes Resort hosted their wedding reception. This iconic Isle of Palms wedding venue has floor-to-ceiling windows giving incredible views. It is attached to the Rooftop where their ceremony was, allowing guests to mingle outside on the terrace. Since these two are from New York, their reception was a little differently held. At the end of each traditional event, guests were invited to the dance floor. According to Brad and Natalie, this is common during New York wedding receptions. The newlyweds were surrounded by family and friends who loved them and celebrated their union.
As an Isle of Palms photographer, I enjoy the unique experience of capturing moments the couple is unaware of throughout their wedding day. It is such a pleasure to deliver images that I know will bring smiles to their faces.
It was an honor to capture their Wild Dunes Resort wedding alongside their other talented wedding vendors. Check out some of my favorites from their big day!
Because of the coastal vibes, Weddings at Wild Dunes are some of my favorites.
