It was a gorgeous December day for Myles and Hanna’s Cannon Green Wedding! We were lucky that the day wasn’t too cold and that the weather was perfect.
Hanna and Myles met years ago while they took part in a bike bar crawl. When Myles knew he wanted to propose, he came up with the perfect plan. This was Hanna’s first time traveling outside of the country, and they were heading to Madrid. Even though their travel plan had a rocky start and they arrived a day later, everything came together in the end. Myles had a few places in mind to propose, but each location just didn’t quite fit them. Once they got back to their hotel room, he knew the perfect spot was on their balcony. Hanna was so surprised, and they couldn’t wait to call their families!
Cannon Green Charleston is a classic wedding venue with charm, beauty, and history. The atmosphere of this Charleston wedding venue makes you feel welcomed.
Parking in Charleston can sometimes be an issue, but there’s no need to worry about parking when you have your wedding at Cannon Green! There is complimentary parking just a short walk from the main entrance of Cannon Green. Forty parking spaces are available. If you’re worried that you will run out of parking spaces, you can always have guests Uber from their hotels.
The venue requests that you arrive ready to walk down the aisle since no getting-ready spaces are available. Since this Charleston wedding venue is in the Cannonborough Elliotborough neighborhood, there are many charming Airbnbs to rent. Therefore, Hanna rented a location for her and her bridesmaids. Their Airbnb was spacious, had tons of natural light, and worked perfectly for her getting ready photos.
Wedding packages at this charming venue are all-inclusive, which is one of its greatest benefits. Think of it as a one-stop shop! This package includes the venue cost, food and beverage, tabletop items, and decor. As with most wedding venues, the price will vary depending on the day of the week you get married and the season. For 125 guests, this all-inclusive package can cost over $15,000, with everything included.
We took some adorable early wedding day photos of Hanna and her bridesmaids to start Myles and Hanna’s big day. They all wore matching striped pajamas. Hannah’s mom was one of her bridesmaids, which was just the sweetest! Their black tie Charleston wedding had everyone looking their best. Myles wore a black tux from Nordstrom, paired with a floral print bowtie. Hanna looked stunning in a spaghetti strap gown with a floral lace bodice and a sleek feminine slit from The White Magnolia.
The Courtyard is the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony at Cannon Green. Serene gardens with reflecting pools and picturesque palmettos make this space beautiful. As they professed their love, Myles had the most impressive vows ever!
The Trolley Room adjoins The Courtyard making it convenient to have the reception there as well. This space has an urban look but still has the original architecture. Hannah and Myles decorated the area and created a romantic atmosphere. Their reception was a grand celebration, and the live band had everyone on the dance floor. The guests enjoyed different flavors of Jeni’s Ice Cream instead of cake.
They exited the venue with a flower petal toss to end their special night. As their guests left, Myles and Hanna enjoyed a private dance under the bistro lights.
Serving Hanna and Myles as their Charleston wedding photographer was such a joy! From zipping dresses, putting on shoes, and overall keeping the energy fun throughout the day, I was able to help them in more ways than just photographing their wedding. I loved being around this sweet couple and their fantastic group of friends.
