With this guide, you will discover everything you need to know about planning your dream Magnolia Plantation wedding.

This wedding venue is at 3550 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC. The location is a bit on the outskirts, so plan on about 45 minutes from downtown, considering traffic on Highway 61. Trust me, the drive is well worth it! I always like my couples to know to give plenty of time to get there and share with their guests so that no one is late to the ceremony!
If you’ve envisioned having a garden wedding, I know you’ll love this Charleston wedding venue! Picture this: a garden setting with blooming florals all year round, surrounded by the timeless beauty of ancient live oak trees. Magnolia Plantation & Gardens offers not just one but three distinct venues on the property, catering to various wedding styles and sizes. It’s a canvas waiting for your unique love story to unfold.
Let’s dive into the three different incredible wedding venues at Magnolia Plantation. The Carriage House, nestled beneath ancient live oaks along the Ashley River, is perfect for an outdoor ceremony. You can then move inside for an indoor reception; if you have a more extensive guest list, it can get a little tight with space. The Piazza’s covered wraparound porch and charming white bridge grants access to the stunning gardens. The grandeur of sweeping oaks surrounds the Live Oak Pavilion for those who prefer an entirely outdoor experience.
Each of the venues on-site accommodates a different guest capacity. The Carriage House can host between 50-200 guests, while the Piazza is ideal for intimate gatherings. If the Live Oak Pavilion steals your heart, it accommodates 35-50 guests or tents the lawn for 300+ guests.
Although they do not provide catering, they can recommend an excellent list of vendors.
There is ample parking available on-site for all the guests attending your event.
While Magnolia Plantation & Gardens does offer on-site getting-ready suites, it’s important to note that these spaces are on the smaller side and may feel a bit tight, especially if you have a larger bride party. To ensure you have the perfect environment for those dreamy getting-ready photos, I highly recommend considering Airbnb. This way, you can make the most of every moment as you prepare for your special day in comfort and style.
Yes, having a wedding planner will ensure everything runs smoothly on the big day.
The Carriage House is accessible; however, if the Piazza is your dream spot, you can speak with the venue about accommodations.
Public tours are available with ticket purchase, but to visit the wedding venues, you must schedule an appointment with their fantastic venue coordinators.
For all of the details regarding pricing and what each venue includes, you’ll want to contact the venue directly for an accurate quote.
