A Gadsden House Charleston wedding always carries its own charm, and Bailey and Conor’s celebration was a beautiful example of why this venue is one of my favorites to photograph. With its historic charm and bright, inviting spaces, the venue created a stunning backdrop that made Bailey and Conor’s day unfold with their family and friends.
Keeping the entire day at one location gave their Gadsden House Charleston wedding a wonderfully effortless pace, which always translates so well in photos. Bailey spent her morning in the beautifully lit bridal suite, surrounded by her bridesmaids who wore matching robes that made the cutest touch to their getting-ready images. After hair and makeup wrapped, the girls stepped out onto the balcony to pop a bottle of champagne, a moment full of candid excitement that perfectly kicked off the day.
With her mother’s help, Bailey stepped into a stunning long-sleeve lace gown. The intricate detailing of her dress looked absolutely breathtaking in the soft, natural light pouring through the windows. Meanwhile, her bridesmaids gathered in another room, eagerly waiting for their chance to see her. When Bailey opened the door for the reveal, their reaction was priceless.
Across the house, Conor and his groomsmen spent their morning in the groom’s suite. Surrounded by his closest friends, the energy was lighthearted but full of anticipation for the moments ahead.

When they were both ready, Bailey and Conor chose to share a first look inside the venue, a choice that perfectly suited the elegant atmosphere of their Gadsden House Charleston wedding. The moment Conor turned around and saw Bailey, every bit of excitement washed over him. They exchanged private vows, just the two of them, sharing the words they had written for each other. It was intimate, genuine, and one of the sweetest moments of the entire day.
Afterward, we wandered around the property for portraits. At Gadsden House, the portrait options are endless, with beautiful architecture, lush greens, and nearby streets that add so much variety. We then brought in their wedding party, featuring eleven friends on each side. With the bridesmaids in sleek black dresses and the groomsmen in classic black attire, the entire group looked timeless.

Their ceremony took place outside in the courtyard, a signature element of any Gadsden House Charleston wedding. Guests enjoyed a glass of champagne as they arrived, while a string trio played softly and everyone found their seats.
One of the unique features of Gadsden House is the staircase leading into the courtyard, offering every bride a true “movie moment” as she descends to meet her groom. All eyes were on Bailey as she glided down the stairs, radiant and poised.
During the ceremony, Bailey and Conor lit a unity candle, symbolizing the joining of their lives. Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows and sealed their marriage with a joyful kiss. As they made their way back up the aisle and into the house, their wedding party joined them inside for a celebratory drink to kick off the festivities.

The reception took place entirely outdoors, in a chic and inviting celebration space. White florals, lush greenery, and black chairs gave the design a modern pop against the historic backdrop. Lounge seating with cozy couches and black accent chairs added the perfect touch of comfort and style.
Bailey and Conor were introduced into the reception and went right into their first dance. As open dancing began, Bailey changed into the most adorable glitter jumpsuit, perfect for a night of celebration. The live band kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all evening long.
To end their big day, guests gathered with sparklers in hand, lighting up the night as Bailey and Conor made their grand exit.
